Alina Gibson,Owner/Barre and Reformer Instructor I started dancing at the age of 3 and have never stopped. It has always been apart of my life no matter what stage I was in. My youth, college, working as a Dental Hygienist, and as a mom of 2. I taught dance in college and while working as a Dental Hygienist. I coached the St. Mary’s High School dance team for 3 years and loved every minute of it! When we had our two girls, I dedicated my time strictly to them. Once they both got to preschool, I had the opportunity to train through Balance Body to teach barre. I’ve been teaching since October 2015. Now that our girls are getting older, I decided to do what I’ve been pondering for over 2 years, have my own studio! My love for barre started in 2009. I grew up dancing everyday, spending countless hours in the studio. Of course as an adult we just don’t have time for that. I wanted my body and muscles feeling like they did as a teenager! I started ordering every barre DVD I could get my hands on. It did the trick and with less stress on my body than dancing. I continued barre with some modifications through both my pregnancies. 9 years later….. I love it more than when I started! I never feel like my body hits that plateau, nor is it ever an easy breezy workout. I make my self sore constantly, whether from teaching or working out at home. The more you do barre you learn how to quickly tap into your muscle groups and find the barre shake! I’m beyond excited to bring this to Stockton. MY hometown I grew up in! Barre works for every age group. You can push yourself to your limit, or take breaks as you need them. Our focus is building strength, balance, and most importantly doing so with proper body alignment and positioning! You’ll never regret going to workout, but you will regret not going…
